My name is Anita Buckowing. I have been doing glass for almost 10 years and have been teaching glass for 8 years. I really enjoy teaching and teach for a variety of organizations in my area. I have taught more than 50 classes and have quite a few more scheduled for next year already.

I have completed more than 400 glass projects and seem to be behind on about that many too! I do commission work and also make pieces that I show in two galleries in Michigan (Gallery 154 and Jefferson Street Gallery). I use a lot of different techniques of glass working and really enjoy trying something new. My favorite brand of glass is Youghiogheny (especially the stipple).

On a personal level, I have a wonderfully supportive husband (who occasionally has to "remind me" that I am behind on a project) and two fantastic children. They put up with a lot of glass stuff and I have to give them credit for each and every one of my accomplishments. I look forward to the challenge of competing against my fellow glass enthusiasts and wish everyone a heartfelt "Good Luck!"
