I began working with stained glass in 1990, fulfilling a long time ambition. Like most, my first couple of years resulted in lots of gifts for my relatives and friends. And, at about that time I noticed that this routine was costing me money. So I began selling small objects at local craft fairs to pay for my habit. This led to bigger projects and the rest, as they say, is history.

The part of my garage that is not being used as a storage shed is now my studio. Windows and lamps for homes are where I get to really turn on the creativity and enjoy the design and assembly process. Although it sounds corny, I am constantly striving to learn more and expand my horizons. I am constantly amazed at the colors to be found in stained glass. And often have to rein myself in when doing a large project, so as not to distract from the design with too much color.

To afford my standard of living, I have a 'real' job as a naval architect (an engineer who designs ships). I live with 5 cats I have rescued from the streets. When not working or cutting glass, I read and enjoy listening to Yanni. If it can be said that I have a hobby beyond stained glass, it would be my 25 year old car - Stanley. Keeping it running is a part-time job.
