I still consider myself a student of glass art. I have taken three classes at the local college, so I have only been slightly exposed to a variety of glass technologies. I also went to the Glass Expo in Las Vegas and took a fusing class there. Summer of 99, I was invited to join Dani and Michael Greer at their studio during the "E Tour" for glass painting instruction. I feel that was a real high point for me.

I haven't a clue what I am doing here!!! I am a third grade teacher by day and a glass crafter on the weekends. I enjoy glass as a hobby and I try to stretch my abilities with projects of increasing difficulty. I think that is why I wanted to try this battlefield. I thought it might inspire me to raise the bar on my own work. I have read the other bios and I feel "out-glassed" already.

I am hoping that this battlefield will provide me with a glimpse of some creative and superior work. I wish everyone good luck and may the muse of creativity touch all of the glass-warriors lightly on the shoulder. I am looking forward to following the competition and want to thank the Warners for this glorious internet competition.
