My name is Jackie Hughes and I live in Lewiston, Idaho with my 3 boys, Brian (14), Tyler (12), and Mikael (6). My husband Dale recently left on a peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, Yugoslavia for a year. Other members of my family include 3 rescued dogs & 4 lizards.

I've always had a passion for art and have worked in many different medias but have never found any as satisfying as working with glass. I've worked with stained glass for a little more than 2 years. However, because of my obsessive, compulsive nature, I have more panels and other projects that I care to count. I enjoy making large panels, the more intricate the better. Lately, I have been working on (Odyssey) lampshades because it takes me longer to complete a project while keeping my fingers busy. I have a passion for expensive, textured glass and like to incorporate "different" things in my work. I recently purchased a torch and a kiln and plan to use more fused and airbrushed items in my projects.

I'm fired up and ready to battle and belly crawl under the barbed wire with the best of them!
