Name: Kathy Carroll

Kathryn Carroll is a resident of Windsor, CT who has worked in the insurance industry since 1984. Her interest in stained glass began when she fell in love with a Tiffany reproduction 16" Dragonfly lamp at a local lighting shop. Due to the prohibitive cost of the piece, she felt that she should take a stained glass class and make the lamp herself......Little did she know that this would be the beginning of a wonderful addiction to glass (and that she would have saved a ton of money had she just bought the expensive lamp in the first place....)

Kathy has created various stained glass panels, including a 6 ft. tall sidelight for her former residence but finds Tiffany-style lamps to be her most rewarding achievements. To date, she has completed the 14" Dragonfly, 16" Dragonfly, 20" Lilypad, 22" Peony, 18" Peony, 16" Tulip and 16" Daffodil lamps using the Odyssey system as well as various panel lamps of her own design. Kathy is a member of the Association of Stained Glass Lamp Artists, Northeast chapter and participated in their 1999 exhibit.

In addition to stained glass, Kathy enjoys gardening, drawing and watercolor painting as well as collecting books on art-related subjects. Kathy lives with her new husband (married on April 1st of this year!!!), and two of her three beautiful step-daughters as well as her big, goofy-looking dog and three cats.
