I'm 32 and married with children (2), cats (2) and a 5 month old black lab. I became interested in stained glass when I priced windows for my house. I took an intro class under Bruce Boyd at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and I've been dabbling in the glass arts ever since.

I particularly enjoy working with copper foil and mosaic, and my favorite glass artists are Frank Lloyd Wright and Ichiro Tashiro. My favorite part of stained glass is the interplay of colors and textures and I'm pretty picky about my glass- I think the right piece of glass can make the difference between a mediocre piece of work and a work of art.

I love to design new projects, but detest making the same thing more than once. I've been in a serious slump ever since I made 100+ identical wedding favors last year- I didn't think I'd EVER want to see a soldering iron again!

Thanks to Battlefield Glass, though, I'm feeling a renewed enthusiasm for the awesome beauty and diversity of stained glass art, and I can't wait to get started.
