Contestant Data I'd like to introduce myself! I'm Nancy Juhasz from Massillon, Ohio. I live here with my husband Sam. We have two children that live out of town. I am a retired x-ray tech. I retired after the children were through college. I have always had a love for stained glass. My favorite glass artist is Louis C. Tiffany. There never seemed to be time to take lessons when the faimly was young and I was working. A few years ago my husband and I had the opportunity to take lessons together, that was the start of our new love. We have taken several different classes, some were good some not so good. I have been doing glass for about 3 years. We plan vacations and long week-ends around glass exhibits, glass factories, and any thing pertaining to stained glass. We both are trying to learn all we can about stained glass. After I saw what I could do with my new knowledge I started making things for gifts. I did fabric arts to sell at arts and crafts shows, so I started taking a few pieces of my glass along to the shows. I am still doing the arts and crafts shows, but now I am doing less and less fabric arts and more and more glass. My first big consignment was 4 panels for a resturant in Indiana. The panels were 48" by 48". They were done to a logo. They turned out very nice. I have done several other panels using different techniques. Pretty much I do what ever I want then try to sell it. For the shows I make suncatchers, panels, garden stones, and assorted 3-D items. Most of what I do is foil not lead. That's about all I have to say about myself, except that it is a good thing that I can do glass better than I can take pictures. I can't take good pictures to save my soul.
