Name: Rebecca Audette
Hometown: Ayer, MA

My name is Rebecca Audette. I live in Ayer, Massachusetts, a small town about 45 minutes northwest of Boston. I am 24 years old. My full time occupation is with Kronos, Inc. as a Technical Support Engineer. My glass experience began about 13 years ago, where as a 5th grader I took an after school program introducing me to the art of stained glass. I loved it very much, but, on a 5th grader's income - or lack thereof - I couldn't go any further with it. Until about 3 years ago when my husband, Michael and I were at a yard sale and he spotted a box with a soldering iron and glass cutter in it. All totaled I walked away with over $50 worth of tools for a mere $5. Thus began Nissitissit Custom Stained Glass (pronounced phonetically).

My two favorite pieces both reside in my living room. A set of lampshades using Spectrum white, black and black and white Boroque and a 1'x4' 'Frank Lloyd Wright-esque' geometric panel. I also make a donation to a non-profit organization called Trout Unlimited for their annual fund raiser. The first year I donated a 16'x22' panel featuring a brook trout swimming towards a fly and this year was a 10'x10'x24' terrarium featuring the same trout pattern on the front. I don't know what next year will bring but I'm leaning toward either a set of trout decoys on oak stands or a panel with a stream and fisherman scene.

I can't wait to start the competition and look forward to the challenge of the theme items.
