Contestant Data I took my first stained glass lesson when I moved to Atlanta from Boston in 1991, and I've been hooked on it ever since. Until recently, it was a real challenge to work on anything. I lived in apartments and setting up separate space to work on my projects was not an option. It wasn't unusual for me to be soldering with one hand while swatting away my 2 cats with the other hand. Luckily for me, in January 2000, I gained a husband, a stepdaughter, and a stained glass workroom!! In the future, I would like to take some more lessons so that I can improve my technique. Although I've picked up some great tips from the Warner-Crivellaro Glass Chat pages (I post as Stephanie in GA), it doesn't really substitute for one-on-one instruction. I would like to start working on boxes and mirrors using my own designs rather than other people's patterns. I currently have a few items placed at Work of Our Hands in Atlanta. It's a relatively new shop and I love having my work displayed there (I love it even more when it sells). As I already mentioned, I currently live in Atlanta, GA. I also lived in Boston for a couple of years but I'm originally a New Yorker from Brooklyn. I work at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a biostatistician. My other hobbies include tennis, reading, cooking, hiking, and crafting. My husband, stepdaughter, and I share our home with 2 cats, 1 dog, and 3 fish.
