Contestant Data My name is Susan Moses, and I live in Georgetown, Texas, a rural community just north of Austin. My husband and I have been married 11 years and have two wonderful and very active kids as well as two dogs, a cat and a plecostamus (that frankly, I'm amazed is still alive). Other than glass I enjoy scuba diving, hunting (both birds and deer), cooking, quilting and laying on warm Mexican beaches with a Pina Colada in each hand. I've been working with glass for about 4 1/2 years. I kind've fell into it on accident. I wanted a mission style lampshade for a copper floor lamp I had and mistakenly thought that I could make it myself (no lessons...ha!). The owner of the local glass shop informed me that I was insane and that she would be happy to make it for me. Okay, I lost round one and immediately signed up for classes. Four months later I'd been through a basic class and moved into lead. My first project was an original design as an insert for my back door. I haven't looked back. I've started doing commissions out of my home, and business is really starting to increase. I'm looking forward to tweaking the creative side of my brain. It sure needs it. This is sure to be a great experience, I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.
