The judges for Battlefield:Glass were carefully screened and selected. To guarantee that they had
the strength and mental fortitude to take part in the contest, we required each of them to run 15 miles,
do 1,000 Jumping Jacks, and solve a Rubic's Cube in under 30 minutes. Each one of the selected
judges explicitly told us where to go upon hearing requirements, that's how we knew they were of sound mind to
take on the difficult task of judging.
Let's meet the Judges!
- Jason Brady - Last year's winner of Battlefield:Glass, Jason demonstrated his creativity and skill
by designing stunning 3-D works (two of which are on permanent display at Warner-Crivellaro). Jason
has recently begun teaching workshops while he is not helping manage Debrady Glass Studios, the family
business.
- Joe Porcelli - Joe is the Editor-in-Chief of Glass Craftsman magazine, one of the most popular
publications for the stained glass industry. Joe is a predominant teacher of the art and instructs
many workshops throughout the year. He has also starred in several instructional videos.
- Robin Evans - Robin is the owner of Glowing Panels Studio in Sedona, AZ. Her distinct style
combines the beauty of stained glass with the Southwestern style of her location. The inventor
of the Liquifusion technique, she continues to innovate stained glass. Robin is also a popular
instructor and can be found teaching workshops all year round.
- The crew at Spectrum Glass - Spectrum is the most popular glass in stained glass and it seemed only
fitting that they take part in the most popular contest in stained glass!
- Charles Warner - President of Warner-Crivellaro Stained Glass. When Charles isn't cracking the
whip on his employees he enjoys collecting distinct works of stained glass. His growing personal collection
is on permanent display at the Warner-Crivellaro warehouse in Allentown, PA.
- Claudette Jaramillo - Claudette was the runner-up in the inaugural Battlefield:Glass competition. A
school teacher by trade, Claudette's skill and style have proven a springboard for her success as a
stained glass instructor.
