How did you first get started in stained glass?

We had just returned from living overseas and my husband was in Houston while I was in California waiting to see where we would be assigned for our next project. A local studio was offering 6 week classes and I had nothing better to do with my time and it looked interesting.

What expectations do you have heading into this contest?

I would like to see what I can do in the creativity and innovative side of making stained glass. so far I have just been able to follow patterns and would like to branch out and turn some of my thoughts into reality.

What do you feel are your strong/weak points in stained glass?

My husband says my strong points are my creativity and adaptability. I feel he's overly generous. Weak points are a bit of impatience when working on a new project. I want to get it done right now! Also, I sometimes have a hard time seeing where the glass is touching each other and how well it is fitting.

What other hobbies do you enjoy?

I quilt, make soap and cheese and travel extensively, as often as I can and probably more often than I can afford it.

Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about yourself?

I have so enjoyed learning this new hobby of mine and have so many projects I want to make. I just wish I had gotten into stained glass much earlier.
