How did you first get started in stained glass?

I first got started in stained glass when I took a beginner class at the Fletcher Farm Arts & Crafts Center in Ludlow, VT. I fell in love with stained glass, bought all the equipement, and started a small "cottage" business in my home. I am hoping to start teaching beginner classes in 2003.

What expectations do you have heading into this contest?

The only expectation I have is to get as far as I can in the contest. This contest will make me take creative risks in my stained glass crafting.

What do you feel are your strong/weak points in stained glass?

My strong point is that I can follow a pattern quite nicely!! My weak point is taking the creative risks that stained glass lends itself to!!!

What other hobbies do you enjoy?

I enjoy traveling and scuba diving.

Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about yourself?

I have been teaching school for 15 years and am currently teaching 2nd graders. In my next life I would like to quit teaching and open a crafters co-op where local artists can sell their work.
