How long have you been doing stained glass?

3-5 years

How did you first get started in stained glass?

Friends introduced me to making stepping stones and the first cut of glass I took I was instantly hooked. I have always enjoyed making crafts but stained glass is much more artistic, creative and more fun than anything I have tried in the past.

What expectations do you have heading into this contest?

No expectations only possiblities. I was thinking why not, I purchase from Warner Crivellaro frequently and thought it would be fun especially if I earn a gift certificates to help support my habit.

What do you feel are your strong/weak points in stained glass?

I think my desire to create something beautiful from stained glass starting from the pattern, whether designed or obtained from elsewhere along with the selection of glass, cutting, foiling etc. are the easier tasks and therefore stronger points. I am still learning techniques such a soldering skills, the correct way to provide strength and positioning of hangers etc., these I beleive are my weaker areas.

What other hobbies do you enjoy?

I enjoying gardening, the outdoors and being with my family. When these things are not taking up my time glass is.

Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about yourself?

nothing now
