How long have you been doing stained glass?

more than 5 years

How did you first get started in stained glass?

I took a class through my local park authority. I had always been interested in Stained Glass because I wanted to use power tools to produce my art! My father is a mechanic and my husband is always doing projects around the house so I didn't want to be left out! I love the concept of using harsh tools and materials to create something beatiful and fragile.

What expectations do you have heading into this contest?

I expect to tap into some creative ways to use a flying pig casting in a beautiful piece of art! Or whatever piece Warner comes up with this year! I also like the deadline aspect! I have always worked well with limiting my choices and having a deadline.

What do you feel are your strong/weak points in stained glass?

Strong points are pattern design, pattern modification and color selection. My major weakpoint is actually completing projects! I have tons of ideas and not enough free time to complete them!

What other hobbies do you enjoy?

Whatever looks like fun at Micheals!

Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about yourself?

My best creation to date is my 2.5 year old son Bailey. He is never short on creativity, just look at our walls :-)
