How did you first get started in stained glass?

I had always loved the beauty of stained glass windows. When a very small stained glass shop opened about 5 blocks from my home, I went in out of curiosity. I started asking questions about how stained glass was made, how windows are created, etc. I started taking lessons there and have been "addicted" to glass ever since.

What expectations do you have heading into this contest?

I expect this will be a definite challenge my creativity and skills as a glass artist.

What do you feel are your strong/weak points in stained glass?

My weak points are a lack of self-confidence when I know that I am competing against some awesome, talented people, like those who have competed in the past. I also lack the experience that I know some of the other competitors have. My strong point is that I love a challenge in creativity.

What other hobbies do you enjoy?

I enjoy reading, swimming and traveling.

Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about yourself?

I also enjoy writing "how to" articles to help others enjoy stained glass as much as I do.
