Breakaway Vacation

Alice the Camel and Bozo the Clown were in desperate need of a vacation. They formulated a plan to get away from their day/night job and go to the coast for a few days of windsurfing. Finally the great day came! They broke free from their signs, checked their equipment and loaded up the trailer. By night-fall they were ready and on their way for a well-deserved vacation.

Theme Items:

Camel - was in the Sahara sign but decided to go on vacation - painted to match the glass in the sign

Jewel - spire atop the Sahara Casino

Filigree - Headdress on the Big Chief Eatery sign - painted brown, red and yellow

Glass Used:

English Muffle, Armstrong, Spectrum and Youghiogheny

Materials Used:

Brass covered lead, lead, copper foil, solder, acrylic and Pebeo paint, mosaic tiles, Weldbond glue, wood stand, fabric

Difficulties Encountered:

Deciding what to do with the Theme Items was the biggest problem! I wonder what the people who choose the Theme Items thought we might dream up! Once I decided on my project it went quite well without any major problems.
