This was fun! I was a bit intimidated at first, thinking that with a camel and wings, whatever I did would
be goofy. (The jewel I wasn't so worried about) I thought of attaching the wings to the camel, then I thought
"what if the camel was dreaming he could fly?" but I couldn't think of how to show that. Then I decided I'd do a
candleholder, and thought I'd put the wings on the side pieces, sort of as a fancy embellishment. But holding
the wings, I thought the upper part of the wing could look like the markings on a palm leaf, and the lower part
could look like a cluster of coconuts. So I used my Dremel to separate each wing into two parts. I painted
(with a Pebeo pen) the markings on to two pieces of green glass, and layered the filigree on to two other pieces.
The coconut filigree was layered over brown glass. The filigreed leaves extend out from the piece, and the coconuts
are "hung" from them, so I've got some 3D action happening. (this shows best in the photo taken from above) I used
glass I had on hand, and worked on this, off and on, for about 4 days. I'm really happy with it. I call it Sunrise
